You can then decide if you wish to place an order on that costs basis via our website. We would stress that if the property is leasehold or unregistered there may be additional charges made by third parties for the supply of information necessary to complete your Home Information Pack. These charges do not form part of the costs quoted by us.

We will normally verify prices as part of our Order Acceptance. We are under no obligation to provide a Home Information Pack to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you an Order Acceptance, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakable or where any third parties levy any additional charges.

9.9.8 You agree to indemnify us against all costs, claims, damages, losses and expenses arising as a result of any claim or action suffered by us in the event that we are deemed to be acting as your agent in obtaining any Third Party Reports for you or performing our other obligations under a Contract.

(a) for death or personal injury caused by our negligence;

9.26.2 Encryption & Data Storage

Once your credit card information is on the Protx system, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data held is extremely secure and is regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.

No individuals within Protx or employees of Property Cert are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. The system only allows access to the most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police).
